“Little Red Pocket Master” Parent-child Booklet

“Little Red Packet Master” is a parent–child booklet launched under the Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme and designed by the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society for upper primary students and their parents. Using Lunar New Year “Lai See” money (red packets) as a relatable starting point, the booklet guides children—with parental support—to understand the culture and etiquette related to red packets. Through engaging tasks and guided conversation prompts, children learn about money allocation, goal setting, mindful spending, and saving habits, turning festive blessings into practical financial life skills. 

We encourage parents to download this resource during the festive season to engage in meaningful dialogue with their children, ensuring the spirit of these blessings resonates throughout the year.
